F-227 Petr Bezruč

(*15 September 1867 - †17 February 1958) The most important representative of Czech poetry at the turn of the 20th century. Author of the only, but essential, poetic collection of Silesian songs. Thanks to them, he is considered a Silesian bard, although he himself sought more seclusion and solitude. His poems are harsh, dramatic and exceptional. Their style is unparalleled in Czech literature.
