F-228 Jaroslav Heyrovský

(*20 December 1890 - †27 March 1967) Czech physical chemist and founder of the Czechoslovak Electrochemical School. He became a Nobel Prize winner for the discovery of polarography and its use in analytical chemistry. This method is used in many fields and is still one of the 5 most sensitive methods of chemical analysis. With its discovery, Heyrovský became one of the greatest scientists in the world.
