F-310 Vřídlo Colonnade

At the end of April 1878, a decision was made to build a new colonnade to replace the original, no longer sufficient Empire-style colonnade. The cast iron structure in the pseudo-renaissance style was completed according to a design by the architects F. Fellner and H. Helmer in just half a year. The official opening took place on 1.6.1879. Over time, however, the colonnade fell into disrepair until it was eventually dismantled in 1939 due to the static disruption of the structure caused by corrosion. A temporary wooden structure stood on the site from 1940 and it was eventually replaced with the current Vřídlo Colonnade in 1975.
