F-182 Václav Pokorný

(*26 July 1918 - †11 July 2011) Composer, arranger, translator, pharmacist and military officer. He worked with the orchestras of K. Vlach and K. Krautgartner and the Czechoslovak Radio Dance Orchestra. He was the arranger for R. A. Dvorský, who was enthusiastic about his work. The compositions of this native of Příbor are still in the repertoire of dance orchestras.
