F-413 Saint Jan Nepomuk Neumann

(*28.3.1811 - †5.1.1860) The fourth Bishop of Philadelphia, a Catholic missionary, a Redemptorist and a native of Prachatice. The desire to serve God led him to America where he was ordained. He constantly travelled and he established 100 schools and over 80 churches during the 8 years of his activities there. He also reformed the clerical seminary and supported other orders. He was zealous and selfless – to the point of exhaustion.
