F-508 Observation tower near the Château in Lovosice

A significant member of the Schwarzenberg aristocratic family had an excursion restaurant and a picturesque octagonal wooden gazebo, which also served as a popular observation tower, built here in 1865. An underground area under the lookout tower served as the first beer cellar and ice room for the purposes of the restaurant. In the spring of 2019, a new wooden observation tower with a steel stairway, a sail roof and views far and wide was built on the site of the original gazebo. The lookout tower provides views of the Elbe River, Porta Bohemica or Radobýl.
