(*15.5.1773 - †11.6.1859) A significant politician, diplomat and chancellor of the Austrian Empire. He achieved his greatest successes during the extensive conflict of the Napoleonic Wars, when his persistent diplomacy led to the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte and the establishment of a balance of power between the European powers during the Congress of Vienna in 1814–1815.
