F-191 Karolina Světlá

(*24.2.1830 - †7.9.1899) A Czech writer, patriot and supporter of the women’s movement. She drew the themes and inspiration for most of her works from the wonderful Podještědsko countryside. She was literally enchanted by her husband’s birthplace Světlá pod Ještědem and used it for her artistic pseudonym. Her best-known works include A Village Novel, The Cross by the Stream, Kantůrčice or Frantina.
