F-170 Karel Havlíček Borovský

(*31 October 1821 - †29 July 1856) Founder of Czech journalism, satire and literary criticism. He sought to elevate the education of the people, the so-called revolution of heads and hearts. He was politically active, known for his truthfulness and ability to call things by their real names. His ideas on democracy are still relevant today. He gained his reputation with his famous critique of J. K. Tyl's work The Last Czech.
