F-199 Josef Václav Myslbek

(*20.6.1848 - †2.6.1922) A representative of monumental realism and the founder of modern Czech sculpture. The author of the famous equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas in Prague, which he spent 35 years of his life creating. He was known for his precision and criticism of his own works, which he frequently changed and corrected. He became an example for an entire generation of upcoming Czech sculptors.
