F-507 Josef Seidel

(*2.10.1859 - †21.10.1935) A professional portrait and landscape photographer who was active in Český Krumlov. His work was distinguished by its high degree of quality and it only required minimal retouching. He constantly experimented; for example, he created panoramic pictures as early as at the beginning of the 20th century and he created colour pictures using the autochrome technique from 1910. Amongst other things, he captured the disappearing beauty of the Bohemian Forest for ever.
