(*22 November 1835 - †15 November 1899) An important architect and restorer who participated in the restoration and completion of a number of Czech monuments: St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, Křivoklát Castle, Karlštejn Castle, Konopiště Chateau, etc. However, he also designed new, mostly neo-Gothic, buildings - the Church of St. Ludmila in Vinohrady, the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul in Vyšehrad, and the Church of Saint Procopius in Žižkov.
