F-211 Josef Lada

(*17.12.1887 - †14.12.1957) A painter, illustrator, caricaturist, scenographer, writer and the founder of Czech comics and “modern Czech fairy tales”. His artwork popularised Czech Christmas. His unique style even impressed Pablo Picasso. He is the author of the famous Mikeš the Tom Cat or the illustrator of the unforgettable soldier Švejk.
