(*7.2.1869 - †24.10.1925) The most famous writer from the Chodsko region and a reforming Catholic priest who came from Klenčí pod Čerchovem. He was an erudite expert on Chodsko and its folklore. He was marked by his knowledge and his fearlessness and he helped Klenčí wherever he could. His life’s work is the three-part novel The Commissar’s Wife (Paní komisarka). His best-known works also include the novel Jan Cimbura.
