F-529 Jaroslav Ježek

(*25.9.1906 - †1.1.1942) Phenomenal composer, pianist and jazzman. He gave Czech popular music a completely new and original form. He mainly gained fame as the court composer for Voskovec and Werich – he composed the music for their plays and films. He also led the orchestra at the Liberated Theatre. Many of his songs have become firm favourites of Czech popular music.
