F-511 Jan Koťera

(*18.12.1871 - †17.4.1923) A leading Czech architect and designer. He became a professor at the Applied Arts School in Prague at the age of just 27. He was a skilled and ambitious organiser. He was ahead of his time and he influenced a number of subsequent architects. He most influenced the appearance of Hradec Králové and Prostějov. His greatest work is the building of the City Museum in Hradec Králové.
