F-751 František Xaver Franc

(*3.12.1838 - †20.1.1910) A landscape gardener who was active in Bohemia and in Vienna. He created the natural landscape park at the Kozel château, in which he planted more than 6000 trees from various countries. Thanks to the work undertaken there, he began to devote himself to archaeology and he subsequently examined 400 burial grounds, 12 mounds and 3 settlements between 1878 and 1896. He carefully documented and restored all his findings.
