(*14 June 1798 - †26 May 1876) Historian, politician, writer and the most important figure of the Czech national movement of the 19th century. He spoke many languages and had a remarkable memory. The life work of this founder of modern Czech historiography and "father of the nation" is the History of the Czech Nation in Bohemia and Moravia. His funeral in Lobkovice became a nationwide event.
