F-753 Albín Polášek

(*14.2.1879 - †19.5.1965) One of the greatest American sculptors of the 20th century, the recipient of a number of international awards and the head of the prestigious Art Institute studio in Chicago. This native of Frenštát created more than 400 works. He is best known in the Czech Republic for his statue of Radegast and the statues of Saints Cyril and Methodius on Radhošt. Polášek’s story is an example of great will, talent and hard-work crowned with success.
