F-248 Zdislava of Lemberk

(*ca 1220 - †1252) A noblewoman, a healer of the sick and a benefactress to families in the Diocese of Litoměřice and the Liberec Region. She built the Church of Saint Lawrence and the monastery in Jablonné. She lived a modest life full of love for God and people. Pilgrims, the sick and the needy always found a warm welcome with her. In 1995, she was canonised by Pope John Paul II.
