F-296 William of Rosenberg

(*10.3.1535 - †31.8.1592) The supreme Prague burgrave and the eleventh ruler of the House of Rosenberg. He took great care of the economic development of his estate. He lived by the motto “Hurry slowly”. He received the prestigious Order of the Golden Fleece and was twice a candidate for the Polish throne. He renovated his residences in Český Krumlov and Třeboň in the renaissance style and built his Kratochvíle summer residence near Netolice.
