Originally a Romanesque castle from the 13th century, standing on the site of an older Slavic settlement. The citadel rises 112 m above the level of the river Orava. Castle areas date from several periods from Gothic to Romanticism. Chapel of St. Michal from 1611 with a pair of crypts.
