(*7. 3. 1850 - †14. 9. 1937) A significant philosopher, sociologist, teacher, journalist and scientist, the central figure in the international anti-Austrian resistance, the founder of Czechoslovakia and its 1st president. The man who became the symbol of Czech statehood and who was given the title “the Liberator President” by parliament for his services. He was proposed for the Nobel Peace Prize seventeen times.
