F-185 Tomáš Baťa

(*3 April 1876 - †12 July 1932) Founder of the world shoemaking empire, called the king of footwear. In 1894 he founded the family company Baťa with the motto: "Shoe the world". He built his business on the idea of "Our customer, our master", ahead of his time with innovations and bold decisions. As the mayor of Zlín, he had a great influence on the city's infrastructure, which was based on his philosophy.
