(*24.3.1899 - †2.8.1966) Czech composer, band leader, pianist, singer, actor and music publisher. He chose the pseudonym R. A. Dvorský based on his home town of Dvůr Králové nad Labem. He was always a smart dresser with an almost unmistakeable voice. His orchestra, the Melody Boys, became a phenomenon and gradually came to dominate the world of Czech dance music in the 1930s and 1940s.
