F-280 Johanna of Rožmitál

(*ca 1430 - †12.11.1475) The only Czech queen from the ranks of the local aristocracy and the second wife of Jiří of Poděbrady. According to legend, she was very wise and beautiful. She supported her husband’s politics and also attended political meetings. After the death of Jiří of Poděbrady, she continued to defend and elevate his legacy and his efforts to reach a compromise between the Catholics and the Utraquists.
