F-171 Emil Holub

(*7 October 1847 - †21 February 1902) Famous traveller, world-renowned ethnographer, successful writer and physician. Dr Emil Holub was an explorer of the African interior. He worked in incredibly difficult conditions on his travels, but he was persistent. He created scientific and ethnographic collections with tens of thousands of exhibits. To this day he is a symbol of Czech travellers.
